Here are some examples of assessments and their approximate costs:

  • A cognitive assessment using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children 5th Edition (WISC 5) which assesses verbal comprehension, visual spatial skills, fluid reasoning and processing speed, (6 – 16 years):

      • 3hrs working with a child or young person in school.

      • Fixed hourly rate of 3hrs for scoring and report writing.

      • 1hr feedback meeting to parents and teachers.

      • £420 (approximate)

  • Dynamic assessments. Dynamic assessments are different to cognitive assessments because they do not produce a score, they focus on strategies children use when they learn and which ones help them to learn:

      • 2hrs working with the child or young person in school.

      • 1hr feedback meeting for teachers and parents.

      • Fixed hourly rate of 1hr for report writing.

      • £240 (approximate)

  • Kinetic drawing assessments. Kinetic drawing is a projective technique and is helpful for exploring emotional difficulties:

      • 2hrs working with the child or young person in school.

      • 1hr feedback meeting with parents and teachers.

      • Fixed hourly rate of 1hr for report writing.

On unfixed items above, additional time will only be charged in 15 minute sections.
